IMMEDIATE NEED
We are seeking Shelter Workers to support disaster relief efforts in response to Hurricane Helene. As a Shelter Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing care and assistance to displaced residents at emergency shelters. Youll be responsible for various tasks, including screening, registration, intake, and meal services. This is an immediate, hands-on position, offering an opportunity to make a direct impact on your community during a time of need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and register shelter residents upon arrival.
- Assist with intake, ensuring accurate record-keeping and resident tracking.
- Provide meal services, helping with food distribution and preparation.
- Support shelter logistics, including screening and client services as needed.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and organized shelter environment.
Requirements:
- Must be a current resident of Dixie County, FL.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, emergency environment.
- Previous experience in disaster relief or shelter operations is a plus.
- Immediate availability to start.
Compensation:
