Position Information: Our client is seeking a talented Microsoft Messaging/Exchange Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Handle Exchange mailbox access and delegation requests (attorney-secretary workflows) coming from HR.
- Troubleshoot Outlook/Exchange issues including calendar synchronization, caching, and message flow problems.
- Support Out of Office (OOO) automation scripts for attorney transitions.
- Assist with Exchange migration-related issues (though not actively involved in the migration).
- Support Proofpoint email security (preferred, but not required).
- Troubleshoot Teams call quality and direct routing issues.
- Assist with Teams integration with Avaya (experience with SIP/direct routing is a plus).
- Provide support for Teams-to-Teams calling issues.
- Handle occasional tickets related to Google Workspace (350 users).
- Assist with domain-based file-sharing issues and security permissions.
- Support confidential email requests that require manual intervention between 6-8 PM.
- Be available to respond to urgent mailbox delegation or permission changes outside of core hours.
- Occasional Friday evening or weekend tasks, particularly for attorney-client access issues.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in Microsoft Exchange (On-Prem & Online) administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Exchange mailbox delegation, access workflows, and permissions.
- Experience troubleshooting Outlook caching, calendar synchronization, and message flow issues.
- Microsoft Teams troubleshooting experience, especially with call quality issues and integrations.
- Basic understanding of SIP/Direct Routing for Teams voice integration (preferred).
- Familiarity with Proofpoint or other email security solutions (preferred but not required).
- Experience supporting Google Workspace email issues (nice to have).
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work with demanding clients.
- Ability to work independently, respond to urgent requests quickly, and manage after-hours support.
