Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including security systems, access control systems and CCTV. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical relays and , computer networking, system programming and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Low Voltage Technician will work both independently and as part of a team. A mock system installation will be conducted to test the candidates skill level.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including security alarms, access control systems, and CCTV cameras.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various installation tasks.
  • Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot issues with existing systems, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics to understand system layouts and configurations.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and service personnel to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and equipment inventory.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of a programming of common systems. Some examples are Brivo, Honeywell, software house, Aviligon, milestone, digital watchdog, Salto, Continental, PDK.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking to IP devices and configure networks.
  • Familiarity with Intrusion Detection Systems.
  • Experience as a service technician in the low voltage field is required.
  • Solid understanding of electrical concepts related to low voltage applications. must be able to wire access control panels and wire devices at door.
  • Ability to build, install, and troubleshoot various low voltage systems.
  • Competence in reading schematics for effective system installation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of security system technologies including CCTV is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
