Position Summary
CEC is a specialty contractor serving clients around the US in the areas of electrical, mechanical, and technology. The Learning and Development Specialist will collaborate with the Assistant Director of CEC University and the Manager, Learning and Development to support university initiatives and administrative support. This role will help in the development of CEC University as the center of training for employees that will change their lives and achieve organizational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with SMEs to create learning course content
Develop required learning assets (presentations, handouts, self-study materials, assignments, etc.) aligned to the desired learning outcome
Collaborate with the Learning and Development Manager in the development of the new Learning Management System (LMS), roll out, administration, and pulling needed reports
Oversee LMS Gamification Program
Help with the development of knowledge check questions for video courses
Partner with L&D Manager to meet with heads of verticals to maintain communication for new courses
New Hire Orientation
Put together onboarding schedules for Superintendents, Project Managers, APMs, electrical and mechanical new hires and hand out at NHO
Present the University NHO slides, Docebo, and course availability
Act as back-up for NHO Safety portion
Monitor training email inbox and reply as needed
Assist trainers getting connected to room AV systems and Teams calls
Visit jobsites as needed to meet with subject matter experts to develop courses
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.
Education and Experience
Several years of administrative experience
Learning and Development background a plus but not required
High school education required
College education a plus but not required

Attention to detail
Good communication and computer skills
Demonstrated work history showing increased responsibility and professional growth.
Ability to collaborate as a team member, self-starter, and work independently.
