What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Helper position at Cedar Circle Farm and Education Center?
June–December, 20 hrs/week
The Kitchen Helper position is an entry level position and ideal for students/individuals interesting in working in a commercial kitchen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with kitchen related tasks (chopping vegetables, packaging foods for resale, restocking etc)
- Maintaining a clean, neat and organized work station
- Washing Dishes
- Assisting with other kitchen related tasks as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to follow instructions. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs and be comfortable spending a full shift on their feet. This position is up to 5 days per week, based on your desired work hours; applicants must be able to work weekends when needed.
COMPENSATION
The Kitchen Helper position is part-time and seasonal, with benefits including paid sick leave, fresh produce, and a 20% discount to our farmstand. Pay is $15/hr. Ability to work the full season is a plus.
