Summary
We are seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our dynamic team at Cedar Corporation. This position plays a vital role in conducting environmental assessments and analyses to support our diverse client base throughout the Midwest region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct environmental assessments, permit preparation, design and completion of investigation and remediation strategies for impacted properties.
- Work with regulatory agencies and possess a working knowledge of current Wisconsin environmental regulations.
- Work with regulatory agencies and possess a working knowledge of current Wisconsin environmental regulations.
- Preparing reports and other technical documents.
- Compiling, evaluating, and analyzing environmental data.
- Field document preparation, field data collection, sampling, processing, and interpretation.
- Collaborating and coordinate work with peers from the environment business, peers from other engineering disciplines, clients, contractors, and sub-consultants.
- Strong scheduling, team building, and budget management skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a 4-year degree in environmental engineering/water quality/geology/environmental science.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Completed or able to complete Safety Training for Hazardous Materials (40-hour HAZWOPER) and State of WI and MI Asbestos Inspector accreditation.
- Experience with Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Travel within a geographic territory (within WI) conducting field work and project oversight; travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.
