What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Scheduling Coordinator position at Cedar Fair Entertainment Company?
HOW YOU WILL DO IT:
- Create and edit schedules up to 3 weeks in advance to meet the daily needs of the Resort.
- Actively monitor projected and budgeted attendance and adjust schedule based on high/low demand days.
- Review and approve time off requests, availability changes and shift swaps.
- Work directly with team members’ availability/ scheduling conflicts.
- Communicate often and frequently with department leadership regarding staffing levels.
- Assist with the onboarding of new team members by scheduling department trainings, and ensuring trainer availability.
- Ensure J1s are being scheduled for a minimum 32 hours a week and H2Bs a minimum of 35 hours each week. Communicate with leadership when team members are not hitting their required hours.
- Work with the supervisors to ensure adequate staffing levels for work crew shifts.
- Update and maintain a list of team members who are no longer showing up to assigned shifts.
- Monitor 2-week notices/ immediate notices/ leave of absences and ensure team members are not scheduled past their last working day.
- Assist department leadership with approving/ correcting timesheets.
- Work with supervisors to ensure team members are coded under the correct home location for compliance.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- A valid State Driver’s License and be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Leadership experience in theme park operations – preferred
- Experience within Six Flags, required.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical and time management skills.
- Must be positive, creative, outgoing, detail oriented, self-motivated and lead by example.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications, similar reporting tools and able to maintain written records.
- All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
