A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN INFECTION CONTROL NURSE
As an Infection Control Nurse at a large skilled nursing facility, you spend the majority of your day assisting our Director of Nursing by implementing infection control protocols and reporting. As the ICN, you remain flexible and support our Director of Nursing with the goal of continually improving and maintaining the highest quality of clinical care possible for our residents. In doing so, you are a team-player who takes responsibility for completing a variety of administrative, infection control and personnel communication responsibilities on a day-to-day basis. In your role, you communicate directly with our team, residents and their families as issues arise while promoting a professional environment focused on clinical excellence among our team.
Bi-Monthly Responsibilities:
Attend Quality Improvement meetings and submit a report to be included with the minutes.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR INFECTION CONTROL NURSE
• Current Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse licensure
• Experience in Infection Control
- Willing to obtain Infection Control certification
