What You’ll Do:
As a Residential Nurse, you will be a vital member of the Resident Services staff and the Interdisciplinary Team. You will have overall responsibility for delivering nursing services to clients in the Residential and Family Home Provider programs. Your role includes:
- Providing training during New Employee Orientation, including Medication Administration Training, CPR/First Aid Training, and individual protocol training.
- Performing TB Tests/assessments for new and current employees.
- Reviewing Medication Administration Records and maintaining narcotic records.
- Attending Plan of Care and other team meetings to represent nursing needs.
- Overseeing medication disposal and maintaining medication disposal records.
- Communicating with medical professionals on behalf of CLR.
- Ensuring MAR, scripts, and medical protocols are up to date.
- Communicating discharge plans to CLR staff and assessing individuals post-hospitalization.
- Documenting services in the individual’s EHR/MAR/TAR.
- Performing periodic assessments of individuals with ongoing health issues.
- Providing consultation to CLR staff for general medical questions and medically emergent issues.
- Conducting periodic reviews of client medical binders.
- Administering basic first aid and/or CPR in emergencies.
- Maintaining compliance with all regulations.
- Establishing and updating HRST for individuals in residential or FHP programs.
- Performing other related work as assigned.
What Sets You Apart:
- Registered Nurse required.
- Graduate of a state-approved nursing program with a current KY license to practice.
- At least one year of experience in a similar environment and/or working with individuals with IDD preferred.
- Experience in the team approach to healthcare and IDT mechanics.
- Valid driver’s license required.
What Your Typical Schedule Looks Like:
Full-time, exempt/salary. This position requires flexibility to work days, evenings, and occasional weekends to meet resident needs.
