Cedar Park Med is currently seeking an Infection Control Nurse.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have a license and current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York
- Have two (2) years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience AND you must meet one
of the following requirements:- Either 1: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, nursing administration, the biological sciences, public health, epidemiology, public administration in a health care area, health care administration or hospital services administration;
- OR 2: Two (2) additional years of nursing experience in which 50% of your time was spent in the administration, development, or implementation of an infection control program;
- OR 3. A current national certification in Infection Control issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a Registered Nurse 3 (Infection Control), you would coordinate and administer an infection control and prevention program for a facility or a group of facilities within an assigned region;
- Perform a wide variety of clinical, consultative, surveillance, education, training, and monitoring activities related to overall infection control and prevention among individuals, employees, and visitors, including proper techniques, practices, and handling of issues; consult with, report, and provide information required by local, State, and federal regulatory agencies;
- May supervise staff involved in infection control activities.
Hours: - 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
