Requirements:
- Vet tech or vet assistant experience
- Familiarity with exotic animals including reptiles and other small animals

Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and other pets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal housing facilities to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
- Assist with dog training sessions as needed, utilizing positive reinforcement techniques.
- Handle animals safely and effectively during cleaning, feeding, and exercise routines.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners regarding their animals’ needs and well-being.
- Assist in the administration of medications as directed by veterinary staff.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills related to animal care and handling.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in Animal Care is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
- Experience in dog training or grooming is a plus.
- Must be comfortable working with various breeds of dogs and other animals in a kennel setting.
