Position Duties
Ø Sales: Intern will follow up on sales leads generated by the Group Sales Manager. The main emphasis will be on selling ticket packages and group outings over the phone and via email.
Ø Help coordinate promotional nights at the Ballpark, as well as community nights and school nights
Ø Assist with planning and set-up for nightly group outings and special events at the Ballpark (set menus, make signage, deliver tickets, stamp Kernels Kash, wristbands, etc)
Ø Help manage a game day staff of 35 employees (Ushers, Security)
Ø Learn, operate, and train others on how to use the Kernels ticketing system.
Ø Coordinating with Ticket Manager and Ticket office to get tickets printed and ready
Ø Assist Kernels staff in the execution of theme nights
Ø Support staff with non-game day events held at the ballpark
Ø Be willing to assist with Concessions as needed (No cooking involved)
Ø Work the Will Call Window as needed
Ø Assist other interns with selling 50/50 raffle tickets to fans during games
Ø Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications: Individuals should have a genuine interest in gaining experience in the sports industry, have excellent writing and computer skills, outstanding customer service skills, a willingness to learn and work long hours (including nights and weekends), be highly motivated, and a team player. Previous customer relations and supervisory experience would be helpful, but not required. Candidates must be available on a mostly full-time basis from March 3, 2025 until September 1, 2025.
Pay Rate: $800 Monthly Stipend Commission on ticket portion of any group tickets sold
