About the Role:
As a Recovery Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients as they detox from drugs or alcohol. You will provide emotional support, ensure a safe and structured environment, and help individuals navigate the early stages of recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer direct support and encouragement to clients undergoing detox.
- Monitor client well-being and report concerns to clinical staff.
- Assist with daily activities, including meals, hygiene, and medication reminders.
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Facilitate peer support and engagement in recovery-oriented activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and behaviors.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in recovery support, behavioral health, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in crisis situations.
- Knowledge of addiction recovery principles is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.

- All Support Specialists must be at least 21 years of age and must have completed high school.
