Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join Marietta, OH Behavioral Health team.
As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, you will be responsible to serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team to implement and monitor treatment for individuals being served within the out-patient and/or residential multidisciplinary healthcare team. This position involves participation and implementation of program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based, wellness-informed client centered approach to assist individuals in all stages of recovery in achieving their person-driven goals.
What do we look for in our Peer Recovery Support Specialists??
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Eligible to become Certified Peer Supporter (CPS) in Ohio by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, exhibits enthusiasm, respect, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment.
- Demonstrates ways to become empowered and self-responsible.
- Demonstrates ability to work with consumers with diverse backgrounds and knowledge of recovery-based concepts with a personal history as a consumer of Behavioral Health Services.
- A valid driver's license, good driving record and vehicle suitable for transportation.
