Cedar Sinai Park is looking for a full-time Life Enrichment/Volunteer Coordinator! The schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday, 11:30am-8:00pm.
We are located at 6125 SW Boundary St. Portland, Oregon 97221, in the Raleigh Hills area of southwest Portland. We are on bus line 54 and 56 from Portland to Beaverton.
Summary Responsible for the facilitation and coordination of programs for the community that reflects the diverse interests of the residents and provides them with meaningful and enriching activities. Allows for social, physical, intellectual, cultural and spiritual needs to be met by each resident. This highly creative position requires self-motivation to implement programs and activities on a day-to-day basis.
As the Volunteer Coordinator, you are responsible for assisting the Activity Manager and the Life Enrichment Team with volunteer programs associated with various departments and programs of Cedar Sinai Park.
Essential Functions

- Create a positive culture through effective programming and events. Collectively facilitates programs while working in partnership with Life Enrichment colleagues.
- Act as an advisor that encourages elders to set new goals in all dimensions of wellness and engage with programming. Serves as the liaison to the clinical team effectively communicating on elder’s health and wellbeing.
- Responsible for planning, implementing, and facilitating activities that take place outside the facility while ensuring the safety of the participants.
- Assists with the recruitment of volunteers and communication of volunteer needs
- Conducts orientation of volunteers as needed
- Maintains updated records and background checks on all volunteers
- Reports on volunteer program as needed
- Implements volunteer recognition
- Responsible for volunteer related data entry and upkeep of related data bases
- Updates volunteer calendars and mail distribution lists
- Tracks volunteer hours and community participation

Required Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 – 3 years’ similar experience working with activities and life enrichment for adults required.
- Familiarity with electronic clinical records systems preferred.
- Experience in medical business office, electronic billing methods, accounting standards for adjustments and refunds and cash posting preferred.
- Prior experience creating and implementing volunteer programs and training preferred.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
- Food Handler’s Card required.
- Current Oregon or Washington driver’s license required.
