Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask efficiently, and have a strong understanding of medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule appointments and maintain patient records
- Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and medical equipment
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other legal requirements

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred but not required
- Proficient in medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred but not required
