What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Supply/Transportation Scheduler position at Cedar Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center?
Our Nursing home facility is looking for a Central Supply Coordinator/Transportation Scheduler. This position is responsible for providing supplies and equipment in an efficient manner based on the needs of the facility and in accordance with policy and procedure. As well as the scheduling of transportation for our residents in a timely and effective manner.
Basic job duties/responsibilities:
- Fill requisitions for routine supplies and equipment
- Clean and check equipment as directed/necessary
- Maintain supply and storage rooms in a safe, clean and orderly condition
- Ensure all telephone orders are confirmed with a written purchase order
- Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared, signed and submitted
- Deliver emergency supplies and equipment as directed
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately to supervisor
- Ensure that supplies and equipment are properly maintained and inventoried
- schedule transportation for residents as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School/GED or equivalent
- Experience working in central supply, order requisition or logistics
- Preferred: prior experience working in a healthcare setting
