Cemetery Lawn Maintenance Crew Member
Adult Starting Wage : $17.00 / Hr
16 & 17 yr. old Starting Wage : $15.00 / Hr
Location : Zur Ruhe and Immanuel Cemetery .
Date : This is Monday-Friday, 20 to 40 hours per week position Mid-April through Early October.
GENERAL PURPOSE
Under supervision of the Building Inspector and Cemetery Supervisor, this person performs lawn maintenance of City owned Zur Ruhe Cemetery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Prepare equipment for the day
- Assist in loading gas cans, mowers and other equipment onto trucks / trailers
- Secure all equipment
- Maintain and correctly use issued personal protective equipment
- Safely operate equipment with all necessary personal protective equipment
- Mow turf using various mowers
- Edge grass at curbs and walkways
- Blow leaves and clippings
- Pull weeds and string trim as needed around headstones
- Clean site and watch for trash, limbs, and rocks
- Physical Demands : Safely perform heavy lifting / pushing / pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials, including, but not limited to, backpack blowers, large containers of mulch / plant material, various sizes of lawnmowers, etc.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
