The Angeles Clinic & Research Institute has established an international reputation for developing new cancer therapies, providing innovative treatments, and expertly guiding the next generation of clinicians. You will work closely with our board-certified medical oncologists, surgeons, immunotherapists, pathologists, and dermatologists to advance cancer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures following established protocols and document accordingly.
- Foster values and support the mission of The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute.
- Utilize expert hematologic and oncologic knowledge, clinical skills, and critical thinking to manage daily patient care services.
- Write patient care orders and delegate tasks as appropriate.
- Conduct thorough age-specific histories and physicals, documenting results.
- Assess and facilitate resolution of patient psychosocial problems and support needs.
- Evaluate patient care delivery and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison/consultant promoting interdepartmental communication and collaboration.
- Model patient advocacy behaviors.
- Analyze new skills, technology, and equipment for safety and efficacy.
- Provide age-specific education and assess patient/family readiness to learn.
- Educate and mentor staff in sound clinical judgment.
- Develop service goals and operations plans for clinical services.
- Establish and maintain patient care standards ensuring safe and effective processes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
- Current, unrestricted California RN license required.
- Current, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license required.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner required.
- ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification required.
- ACLS from the American Heart Association required.
- Oncology Nursing Society OCN or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation AOCN certification required (or willing to obtain within one year from start date).
- NP Furnishing and DEA license required or eligible to obtain.
- A minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience required, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Working with Clinical trial patients preferred.
Salary : $65 - $104
