Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to non-acutely and acutely ill patients, including assisting with activities of daily living such as feeding, toileting, and hygiene.
- Work under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Answer phones and call lights.
- Ensure the unit is stocked with supplies.
- Assist patient transporter as needed.
Qualifications
Experience:
1 or more years of nursing assistant experience (strongly preferred).
Certifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred).
Current BCLS certification, required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Basic computer knowledge.
Working Conditions
Shifts: Day Shift 0700-1930 or Night Shift 1930- 0700 including some weekend shifts.
