Summary/objective
This is a full-time on-site role at CEDARVILLE Engineering Group, LLC (CEG) located in Pottstown, PA. We are seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development to lead our strategic initiatives and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing business development strategies within the civil and environmental engineering sector, specifically catering to public clients. Success in this position will be measured by the volume of the sales pipeline and the hit rate on opportunities and proposals.
CEG is a Civil & Environmental Design-Build firm dedicated to solving infrastructure problems for clients in the public sector. We have experienced rapid growth and are looking for creative and driven professionals to help us accelerate to new heights.

- Lead and direct business development efforts to identify and capture new opportunities with public clients, including federal, state, and local governments.
- Work with senior leadership to develop a Strategic Plan for Business Development. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for implementing this plan.
- Manage and enhance client relationships through effective use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Design and oversee marketing campaigns, trade show exhibits, and the production of marketing documents to promote the company's services and capabilities. Marketing and Sales shall be coordinated to maximize opportunities.
- Guide the business development team in crafting winning proposals and developing sales strategies that align with the company's goals.
- Understand the unique opportunities available to WOSB and 8(a) firms.
Supervisory responsibilities
Manage the existing staff involved with marketing and proposal development and build a Sales Team featuring current staff and future hires. Experience managing others is required.
Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, preferably in the civil and environmental design-build industry.
- Strong understanding of the procurement processes and requirements of federal, state, and local government contracts.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and directing business development teams.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
