Full Time and Part Time Housekeeping Aide needed at Preserve at Cedarwood
Housekeeping Aide - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Every other weekend)
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
1. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities requires demonstrated ability to maintain the physical environment in a clean, safe, and attractive condition in accordance with facility specifications. Position requires prolonged standing, walking, frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and requires moving of heavy furniture; lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
2. Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
3. Experience: Previous work experience in housekeeping preferred. Previous experience in the health care industry is ideal.
4. Certificate/Licenses: None.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Description
1. Clean floors, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, damp and/or wet mopping, and disinfecting.
2. Clean and/or polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, heating and cooling units, etc. in resident rooms, recreational areas and offices as instructed.
3. Clean, wash, sanitize and polish resident rooms and common area bathroom fixtures.
4. Clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms and entrance/exit ways.
5. Deodorizing, disinfecting and spot extracting of carpets.
6. Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting and spot cleaning as instructed.
7. Clean offices, hallways, stairways and elevator.
8. Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners; transport to dumpster.
9. Refill all soap, paper towel, feminine hygiene, and toilet tissue dispensers.
10. Maintain equipment in proper working condition and document and notify supervisor of all hazardous conditions or equipment.
11. Clean and properly store all equipment at the end of the shift.
12. Inform supervisor of supply needs.
13. Replace burned out light bulbs in work areas.
14. Maintain common area furniture in proper positions.
15. Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
16. Follow work and cleaning schedules.
17. Maintain infection control standards of practice.
18. Attend departmental and staff meetings as directed.
19. Practices safe working habits.
20. Cross-train staff in the Laundry Department as instructed/needed.
