LOCAL COORDINATOR

TITLE: North Central Arkansas Local Coordinator
EMPLOYER: Child Evangelism Fellowship® of Arkansas, North Central Chapter
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Local Committee and State Director
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Local Coordinator is responsible for:
· Fulfilling the purpose of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF®).
· Executing and accomplishing the plans and objectives of USA Ministries, the Local Committee and State Board.
· Overseeing all ministry within the Local Chapter.
· Reading and understanding the USA Ministries Organizational Manual.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Ministry
1. Graduate from the CEF Children’s Ministries Institute (12 weeks) within the first two years of ministry.
2. Promote the ministry in the Local Chapter with the goal of increasing church partnerships and primary ministries.
3. Recruit staff and volunteers, ensuring that they are adequately trained and equipped for ministry.
4. Build a multi-staff team.
5. Develop, implement and grow an effective prayer program.
6. Aggressively pursue primary ministries that fulfill the purpose of CEF through continual promotion within the sphere of his/her influence.
7. Maintain direct ministry contact with children through CEF sponsored programs.
8. Build and maintain Christian Youth in Actionâ (CYIA) ministry. Enlist staff and volunteers to help recruit short-term missionaries. Provide year-round ministry opportunities to CYIA missionaries.
9. Oversee all CEF-related ministries in the Local Chapter.
10. Promote further opportunities to serve—including Short-term Missions, and other CEF ministries.
11. Participate in the CYIA training school as assigned by the State Director.
Leadership
1. Develop with the Local Committee and effectively communicate the vision and written strategic plan for the evangelization and discipleship of all the children within the Local Chapter and oversee the implementation of that plan.
2. Strive to develop and establish ministry among the children in unreached cities, towns and neighborhoods within the Local Chapter.
3. Recruit people to do the work of the ministry (both paid and volunteer).
4. Meet regularly with the paid and volunteer staff members to provide encouragement, counsel and direction.
5. Aid the paid and volunteer staff in developing and evaluating their ministry goals.
6. Encourage the Local Committee to take advantage of committee training opportunities available.
7. Work with the Local Committee to raise sufficient funds to accomplish the plans and objectives laid out by the Local Committee.
8. Provide assistance and training to the paid staff as they seek to raise sufficient funds for their ministry.
9. Follow the policies and procedures of the state and national organizations and see that all staff and volunteers are adhering to the policies.
10. Complete routine employee appraisals with all paid staff.
11. Work with paid staff and volunteers helping them in leadership development skills.
12. Oversee (and teaches if necessary) the teacher training program and provide the necessary training for the staff to perform the job well.
Administrative
1. Ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed.
2. Keep accurate and complete records.
3. Work with the Finance Sub-Committee to develop by October 31 for approval by the Local Committee an annual budget to start at the beginning of the fiscal year.
4. Submit the budget of the Local Chapter to the State Director for State Board approval.
5. Ensure that all reports, minutes, communications and moneys are forwarded to the proper offices in a timely manner.
6. Send out thank-you notes and ensure that receipts are mailed in a timely manner.
7. Communicate accurately and in a timely manner with the State Director and Local Committee.
8. Raise personal support.
9. Attend all meetings of Local Directors/Coordinators sponsored by the State office.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Local Committee and/or State Director.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
