Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Accountant serves as a support person to the Accounting Manager and lead to Staff and Junior Accountants within the department. This person will be cross trained and easily adaptable to any primary function within the Accounting Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the period-end general ledger closing, financial statement planning, reviews and analysis, and the compilation and distribution of financial statements to the CFO and Accounting Manager.
- Develop and assist with project profitability analysis and other ad hoc analysis and reporting.
- Prepare month-end journal entries.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile related party transactions.
- Prepare quarterly estimated federal and state tax payments.
- Complete quarterly disclosures and schedule of accounts.
- Assist with physical inventory counts.
- Assist with year-end audit preparations and annual tax returns.
- Forecast and analyze current trends with reserves to confirm accuracy across multiple entities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- 1-5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Knowledge of SAP or CRM software is a plus.
