What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Director position at CEI?

Key Objectives of Position :

Oversee the full spectrum of Finance and Accounting for the Business Unit / Entities
Lead and manage all finance and accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards. This includes financial and management reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and cash flow management.
Business Partnering with Operations and Project Managers :

Collaborate closely with operations and project managers to provide financial insights and analysis, supporting decision-making processes. Act as a strategic partner by providing financial guidance and analysis on business initiatives, cost optimization, and performance improvement opportunities.

Strategic Planning and Risk Management :

Support the business in strategic planning, identifying areas of risk and opportunities for growth and profitability. Develop and implement financial strategies to support the achievement of business objectives. Monitor key performance indicators and provide recommendations to drive financial success.

Drive Process Improvement and System Implementation :

Continuously evaluate and enhance finance and accounting processes, systems, and controls to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Lead the implementation of new financial systems, tools, and technologies to support business growth and streamline financial operations.

Set the tone from the top in compliance for the Business Unit / Entities ensuring that financial controls and compliance are in place.

Day to Day Responsibilities :

Team Management of 30 HC

Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting (forecast, actuals, budget) of financial performance

Lead / Support with Business Unit / Entity leadership team for CFO and EMT reviews.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements for the Business Unit / Entities including the lodgement of statutory financial statements, tax filings, and business registrations.

Provide support and liaise with external advisors, including auditors and tax advisors for the Business Unit / Entities with the support and alignment with Group Finance.

Key liaison with Group Finance to ensure compliance with group financial policies.

Maintain a strong business controls posture, including the monitoring of control point testing, ensuring that all process documentation is up to date, liaising with internal audit.

Key Competencies :

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with stakeholders, including non-finance leaders and Board

Ability to work as a team

Ability to drive projects end to end

Growth mindset, ability to learn with a high degree of flexibility to adapt quickly

Hands-on in diving into details while having the ability to consider the big picture

Aptitude in ERP systems, operational workflow, contract manufacturing business model, costing, and inventory control.

Relevant Experience & Educational Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, and / or Certified Accountant with experience in the contract manufacturing or OEM / Machine / Equipment manufacturing industry.

At least 15 years of full spectrum of accounting and finance experience

Proven experience in a leadership capacity.

Excellent analytical ability and Excel spreadsheet skills.

Assertive and able to influence upwards and peers

Experience in SAP planning and implementation is preferred.
