Job Title: Experience Designer
Location: Hybrid - 3 Days On-Site/ 2 Days Remote | Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Work Schedule/Shift: Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm (EST) | Minimum 40 work hours per week.
Duration/Length of Assignment: 6 Month Contract to Hire

Position Overview:
This role focuses on delivering high-quality, client-centered, and consistent user interfaces that align with strategic business objectives. The Experience Designer will contribute to the Private Bank digital applications team, focusing on enhancing digital tools for the Multi-Family Office initiative. These tools aim to increase revenue, improve efficiency, and promote adoption of digital solutions within the private banking space. The selected candidate will work within a close-knit UX team, benefiting from strong processes and a supportive, collaborative environment. As part of this initiative, the Experience Designer will work on projects that enhance digital money movement capabilities. The role involves designing user interface specifications while adhering to best practices and usability standards. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet both user needs and business objectives. This position offers the chance to contribute to meaningful projects with a focus on user advocacy and design excellence.
Required Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human factors, usability, graphic design, user interface design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in gathering and translating requirements from business sponsors, SMEs (subject matter experts), users, and business analysts.
- Expertise in Figma for designing low, mid, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Proven understanding of user-centered design (UCD) techniques and the ability to incorporate UCD principles into user interface architecture and design.
- Strong knowledge of web client technologies, including HTML and CSS.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Skilled in usability testing and applying web design standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and defend design decisions effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for consistency and adherence to design standards.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience working with design systems and components.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards.
- Certifications in graphic design or user interface design.
- Industry experience in banking or financial services.
Day to Day/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts, business sponsors, project managers, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into design specifications.
- Create detailed user interface designs that incorporate client research, usability standards, and industry best practices, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and system constraints.
- Use Figma to develop prototypes at varying levels of fidelity to illustrate design concepts and workflows.
- Conduct design review sessions with project teams, gather feedback, and secure approval on designs and documentation.
- Execute business acceptance test cases and usability testing to ensure deliverables meet user needs and project objectives.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure design timelines and budgets are adhered to, aligning with scope and technical constraints.
- Advocate for user experience principles and user-centered design throughout the organization.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of usability methodologies, design processes, documentation, and standards.
- Maintain attention to detail and consistency across designs, ensuring all deliverables align with web design standards and accessibility requirements.
