Position Summary
The Admissions Coordinator supports the admissions department’s activities in the pre-admission, admission, discharge, and follow-up processes. Responds immediately and favorably to all inquiries to encourage on-site facility tours.
Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm with EOW for Admissions
Job Description
A. INQUIRY/ADMISSION Duties: Receives patient referrals and directs the information to the appropriate individuals to ensure prompt and timely responses. Tracks admission referral activity on a daily/weekly basis maintaining an accurate pending log. Assist the Admissions Director with arrangements and confirmations of all admissions. Coordinates the admission process with appropriate departments to ensure a welcoming environment, coordinating the assignment of attending physician.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Demonstrated ability in function independently and provides strong leadership, interpersonal skills to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and work cooperatively with others.
- Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish this job.
- Must meet all local health regulations and pass post- employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry.
- Must maintain regular attendance on the job.
- Must have working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, insurance and managed care processes.
- Must be able to perform the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
