House Manager in a Group Home Setting

Celebration Group Homes has a House Manager position available at our group homes in Albertville, AL. This position involves leadership as well as direct care. Direct Care involves providing care for individuals who need assistance with their daily living skills including cleaning, cooking, bathing, dressing, transporting, and more. These positions require able bodied individuals who are able to react appropriately when the individuals in the home are exhibiting any type of behaviors or other physical or health needs. The applicant must also have the heart to care for these individuals especially when they are in situations involving behaviors, health emergencies, etc.

-The shift is on Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We ask that the candidate be flexible and able to be called in case of emergencies.

-If direct care calls out, the House Manager is responsible for helping ensure someone is found to cover the shift. If no one can be found and the team leader cannot cover the shift, the House Manager must work the shift.

-This position requires computer skills. House managers are responsible for scheduling, ensuring documentation is complete, and the ability to navigate software programs used by the compnany.

-Drivers License (Responsible for transporting individuals home from day training, appointments and outings.)

-At least 25 years of age for driver's insurance purposes within the company.

-At least 1 year work experience working with people with developmental disabilities, childcare, or healthcare.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 /hour

Required education:

• High school or equivalent

Required experience: Direct Care for individuals with developmental disabilities, healthcare, or childcare: 1 year

• Leadership: 3 years preferred.
