As a Machine Assembler, you will play a vital role in bringing our innovative machines to life. Your responsibilities will include meticulously assembling a diverse range of components, from foundational structures like tracks and bases to intricate elements such as hydraulic systems and specialized parts. You will ensure the seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, preparing our machines for optimal performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble various machine components, including tracks, bases, tables, columns, shuttle tables, oil reservoir tanks, and other specialized parts, in preparation for final machine assembly.
- Install and prepare electrical components and hydraulic tubing and systems to ensure proper machine operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues, collaborating with engineering to address any fit or mechanical challenges.
- Power up newly assembled machines to verify that the machine and associated equipment function according to specifications.
- Utilize powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, hydraulic circuit prints, and elementary diagrams.
- Competence in using a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Demonstrated understanding of machine operation principles.
- Ability to work comfortably on or beneath machines and in confined spaces during the testing process.
- A strong understanding of potential hazardous energy sources, their magnitude within a facility, and the necessary methods for energy isolation and control, acquired through Lockout/Tagout Training.
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED, coupled with relevant experience in machine assembly.
- Alternatively, any equivalent combination of education and practical experience will be considered.
