Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $27.50 - $35.00/hour
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician with a strong focus on electrical repair, troubleshooting, and PLC programming. As a key member of our team, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of machinery and electrical systems. This role is ideal for someone with a solid electrical background and extensive experience in machine maintenance looking to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting on machinery and equipment.
- Program, diagnose, and troubleshoot PLC & HMI systems.
- Maintain and repair various equipment, including mills, lathes, and band saws.
- Diagnose and repair A.C. & D.C. motors and controls, including VFD motors.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
- Communicate directly with vendors and coordinate necessary repairs and services.
- Work with the production team to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in machine maintenance (electrical and mechanical).
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Extensive electrical repair and troubleshooting experience.
- Proficient in PLC & HMI programming and diagnostics.
- Must own a complete mechanic’s toolset in both Metric and Standard, along with a locking toolbox.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with mills, lathes, and band saws.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing chain-driven and gear-driven equipment.
- Knowledge of A.C. & D.C. motors and controls, including VFD motors.
- MIG welding experience is a plus. Familiarity with safety and industry standards.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work with heavy machinery and in varied positions, including kneeling, laying, standing, or sitting.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds with or without accommodations.
Salary : $28 - $35
