ABOUT THE JOB - SHOP COORDINATOR
Location : Downey, CA
Work Environment : Monday – Friday
Work Schedule / Hours : Normal Business Hours
Pay Range : $25-28 / hour
Job Summary
A Shop Coordinator processes purchase orders, keeps track of inventory, oversees shipments and deliveries, and keeps the Service Center organized. The ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules and managing administrative support, is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports order execution by performing SAP entries as required, including Order Entry, Purchase Order generation, Material Receiving, Shipping and Invoicing transactions.
- Contributes to order file documentation coordination, organization and retention.
- Enters and processes purchase orders for job materials and outsourcing as directed by Service Center personnel.
- Contributes to incoming material / outsourcing expediting activities and updates internal WIP planning tools as required.
- Matches vendor invoices and receiving documents, performs receiving transactions.
- Generates shipping documentation for outgoing materials to vendors and products to customers.
- Ensures order documentation and checklists are in place prior to invoicing of orders.
- Assists with accounts receivable and accounts payable activities as required.
- Answers incoming calls from customers, sales offices, service centers, and in-house personnel when department staff members are not available.
- Supports upkeep of Service Center Inventory through tracking of inventory levels and purchasing of materials.
- Generates Purchase Orders for non-order related materials and services as required.
- Serves as intermediary for direct labor employee questions related to payroll, benefits and other topics handled by company shared services.
