Career Development and Adult Education Coordinator

Tri Star Career Compact is a multi-district career technical education partnership committed to providing high-quality, real-world educational experiences that prepare students and adult learners for meaningful careers. We serve a diverse population across nine school districts, working collaboratively with local businesses and community partners to build a skilled and competitive workforce.
 
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Career Development and Adult Education Coordinator to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year and will lead the efforts in promoting career pathways, coordinating adult education programming, and supporting career readiness for students and adult learners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, workforce development, or career counseling, with a talent for building relationships and creating opportunities for lifelong learning.
 
Job Objective: The Career Development & Adult Education Coordinator is to:

• Expand and support K-12 career development.
• Develop innovative and creative grade specific programs and activities to encourage early career awareness.
• Monitor and disperse Career Exploration & Awareness Funds for associated schools.
• Follow employment trends and assess local employment needs.
• Collaborate with the Job Placement & Recruitment Coordinator.
• Maintain financial records.
• Recruit, hire and schedule adult educators.
• Marketing in and building business relationships with local communities.
• Available to work evening hours.

 
Preferred Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid state department of education license/certificate appropriate for the position
• Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g., a negative tuberculosis test, medical exam, etc.).
• A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
• Complies with drug-free workplace rules and policies.
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and implement program options, auxiliary services, and curricular material that support the diverse learning needs of students.
• Ability to identify, access, and organize community support for program activities.
• Keeps current with advances in technology and workplace innovations that enhance productivity.
• Effective organizational planning and management skills.
