Summary:
As Adult Education Coordinator the duties are to work with the administration to schedule all classes,
teacher schedules, and student orientation dates. Support teachers with instructional assistance and
compliance with policies and procedures. Develops the overall learning environment and assists
students to acclimate to the adult education experience. Serves as Test Coordinator to supervise TASC
/High School Equivalency exams and program. Coordinates with the Director to plan budget, monitor
budget expenditures, and submit P.O.s. Inputs all student data into the Indiana State data system and tracks
program performance and compliance. Serves on committees and builds community relationships to
facilitate student enrollment, eventual employment, and training opportunities. Prepares grants to fund
the AE program.

- Assists the administration in planning and developing the AE program, classes, and sites.
- Ensures the program adheres to state and local policy.
- Assists the director with the promotion of the ABE program.
- Plans budget and monitors implementation.
- Supervises the TASC/High School Equivalency Exam and Program.

- Maintains confidentiality of student and school records.
- Attend training sessions required by the Dept. of Workforce Development.
- Assists the AE staff in selecting and ordering materials for the program.
- Conduct the intake/orientation process at all AE sites. This includes setting up dates and times
the test assessments, and student orientation on the day of intake.
