Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new and updated navigation requests for adherence to guidelines and best practices.
- Support refining governance and maintenance workflows for site navigation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding their requests.
- Collaborate with Project Managers (PMs) and engineers to support automation efforts for navigation workflows.
- Collaborate in creating test plans for user research focused on information architecture.
- Analyze research findings and provide actionable recommendations.
- Define and document best practice guidelines for navigation structures based on research and industry standards.
- 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in using GitHub for making and merging changes.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Master's degree in Library and Information Science (LIS), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of information architecture principles for creating digital user experiences.
- Experience utilizing taxonomy best practices and internal documentation to guide decision-making.
- Familiarity with designing and executing user research methods for testing information architecture, particularly card sorts and tree tests.
- Ability to document standards and guidelines clearly and concisely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Experience working with commercial taxonomy management software (preference for PoolParty experience).
