What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Service Manager position at Cellino Plumbing, Heating and Cooling?
We’re seeking an exceptional Residential HVAC Service Manager to help us achieve our operating plan. As the HVAC service manager, you will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to ensure financial goals are met.
You will manage all HVAC service technicians. Your main focus is to improve the quality of their and profitability, as well as running your own sales and service calls. You will drive your pay as it is performance-based and commensurate with experience. The projected salary includes annual salary plus monthly bonus. This is not a desk job; you will be in the field and working alongside your employees.
Key Tasks and Expectations:
- Manage, train, and support HVAC technicians.
- Manage the customers/jobs requiring HVAC service.
- Maintain effective and clear communication with team, office, and dispatch, ensuring the right tech for the right job
- Train, develop, and hold your team accountable to exceptional performance standards.
- Ability to recognize and step in when you need to personally run service calls, be available, and adhere to the Nexstar Service System following all Cellino processes and procedures
- Maintain pricing and tasks in the price book.
- Ensure appropriate staff levels.
- Communicate clearly, show recognition, and build rapport with employees.
- Train and advise staff members on how to win new referrals and gain repeat business.
- Perform on-call when the scheduled technician is not available or lacks response.
- Formalize a plan to train and improve your field technicians skills.
