As an Operations Assistant at Cellular Sales, you will help oversee the daily functions that drive the success of Cellular Sales’ regional operations, inventory, compliance, returns, and merchandising. This multifaceted role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with teams across multiple locations within the Northern California region. You will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company standards.

What you’ll be doing:
Inventory and Logistics Management
- Manage and reconcile purchase orders, inventory transfers, and inter-market movements while resolving discrepancies and overseeing Open Box Stock (OBS) shipping, store-to-store adjustments, and vendor accessory returns.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy, compliance, and proper record keeping.
Returns and Discrepancy Resolution
- Process returned inventory, assign non-sellable codes, and mange RMAs write-offs, and related documentation.
- Investigate and resolve issues such as damaged items, iCloud locks, trade-in discrepancies, and chargebacks, while communicating with store teams on returns, exchanges, and system discrepancies.
Merchandising and Back-of-House Operations
- Ensure compliance with merchandising standards through audits, display updates, and promotional execution across multiple locations.
- Oversee inventory organization, including demo installations, and manage claims for missing or damaged merchandise.
Compliance and Team Support
- Manage onboarding, training compliance, and employment records, including I-9 verification, E-Verify, and attendance audits.
- Oversee termination processes, account deactivation, and final paperwork while ensuring HR compliance.
Administrative and Project Oversight
- Approve vendor proposals, manage purchase orders and budgets, and support vendor relations, including scheduling maintenance and resolving service issues.
- Oversee team communication across platforms and take part in national operational meetings, providing updates on projects and compliance.
What you need:
- Proven experience in operations, inventory management, or a related field.
- Strong background in coordination, compliance, or team supervision.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to drive between locations within the Northern California market.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook). Inventory systems (e.g., RQ, Omni) and employee compliance platforms (e.g., iCIMS, Plansource).
