We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Systems Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our newly established Financial Systems Management (FSM) team, reporting directly to the VP, IT. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our financial systems to bolster company strategies and operational demands, with specific ownership of our ERP system, Great Plains.

Role Type: Full-Time, In-Office
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in a related field
- Experience with database administration tools, such as Azure Data Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Integration Manager, or MySQL Workbench, required.
- Experience with DBA functions in a clustered environment, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, and high availability solutions, preferred.
- Strong understanding of database security protocols and best practices, required.
- Experience with data modeling, data mining, database design principles, and reviewing physical schema models, required.
- Experience with SDLC methodologies, required.
- Ownership and management of certain aspects of the ERP system, Great Plains, ensuring its effective operation and alignment with business needs.
- Oversee job scheduling and monitoring within our financial systems.
- Perform recurring and ad hoc activities to assist in supporting the monthly and quarterly close
- Lead application access management to centralize system administration and access provisioning.
- Troubleshoot application issues and manage system outages, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal disruption.
- Manage 3rd party vendor relations while maintaining robust communication and oversight.
- Mentor and lead a team of financial system analysts and specialists, fostering professional development and team cohesion.
- Collaborate with IT and finance departments to ensure that financial systems are integrated and fully aligned with overall business processes. Evaluate current technologies used within the enterprise system architecture and recommend solutions to improve or enhance procedures, processes and/or design.
- Understand technical aspects of each project to identify risks or issues, propose mitigation options, and provide guidance for system solutions.
- Document requirements needed to institute updates, upgrades, or implementations, and work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives
- Provide continuous and regular monthly maintenance of financial systems developed to ensure a secure and stable IT environment for software solutions to work properly.
- Maintains account posting rules, custom validations, and other system logic/configurations.
- Writes reports, including Great Plains and D365 reports.
- Conducts data integrity reviews and other quality control tasks.
- Fields, prioritizes, and completes end user requests; may be responsible for end user training.
- Tests and launches data integrations.
- Investigates posting discrepancies and business process errors.
- Maintains role assignment matrix for financial approvals.
- Leads financial systems projects to successful completion in collaboration with the Finance Transformation Team
