Job Summary

The Operative Support Leader is the responsible to provide operative and financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions, which includes month end close reporting, forecast, budget follow up, profitability analysis, as well as to assure full compliance to CEMEX’s policies and controls.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and release official operative figures (EBITDA), including variances and comments vs Budget and PY
• Guarantee the integrity and accuracy of the P&L information as well as certain balance sheet accounts for all business units.
• Coordinate physical inventory counts & self-assessments to analyze and maintain optimal inventory strategies & levels.
• Assure full compliance of internal and external policies, procedures & guidelines. (SOX, PACS, Self-Assessments & KPMG audit reviews)
• Prepare ad hoc analysis and reports to measure business performance, investments & special projects.
• Participate and support company projects to expand, grow, or descoped, including capital expenditures and investments.
• Manage, supervise, and engage an internal team to ensure alignment with the business objectives and strategies, providing training, resources and tools intended to strengthen entrepreneurial skills.

Qualifications

Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Engineering, and MBA preferred.

Areas of expertise: Solid understanding of the company’s business model for generating customer value, drive business strategy, and improve performance through accurate financial reports and metrics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• MS Office proficient
• Ability to analyze complex financial topics or scenarios.
• Comprehensive use and understanding of SAP (MRP system)
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business situations and present reports using Advanced Ms Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, among others)
• Collaboration skills to establish networking with different areas (Operations, Planning, Central controllership, etc)
• Ability to manage and engage a large team of people.
• Analytical thinking, problem solver and results oriented.
• Clear and effective writing; verbal communication skills
• Initiative-taking and self-motivation attitude
• Align internal objectives with overall business goals and make strategic decisions that drive long-term growth and efficiency.

• Ability to communicate financial results, opportunities, and improvement initiatives diligently.
