What You’ll Do:
This position will dispatch aggregates, cement, fly-ash, and other raw materials in a timely manner. Provide effective intercompany service and dispatch support by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs, as well as supporting fellow team members within the department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Dispatch raw materials in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate with plant locations by phone and enter data into a computer system.
- Solicit future orders from plant locations.
- Negotiate with plants on an acceptable delivery time.
- Document driver complaints and forward to Cement Dispatch Manager.
- Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers. Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company and ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned by the
Education and/or Experience:
- Knowledge of the Minneapolis/St. Paul and surrounding areas.
- Communicate in a positive and helpful manner within the company.
- Ability to read and understand maps.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when handling stressful situations.
- High School diploma.
- Three to five years related experience in dispatching, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Post-Secondary education preferred.
Salary: $55,000-$60,000
