GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Loan Data Review Specialist I serves as a first line of error monitoring for the loan onboarding process. This position files appropriate Uniform Commercial Codes (UCC) to secure collateral for the bank and process partial releases.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reviews booked loans to ensure accuracy across all documentation. This duty is performed daily, about 50% of the time.
2. Processes partial release of collateral in accordance with all procedures and policies. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
3. Ensures recordation of online filings with the appropriate governmental entity in compliance with the Uniform Commercial Code. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
4. Fulfills ticket, phone, and e-mail requests and inquiries promptly and professionally. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
5. Reviews and processes incoming loan files to ready them for booking according to file check-in procedures. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
6. Implements tracking requirements and parameters per loan type. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
7. Performs post lien searches using appropriate Uniform Commercial Codes. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
8. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly.
9. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
10. Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
