Customer Service Representative Job Summary
Primary responsibilities include establishing depository account relationships by opening new accounts and cross-selling bank services to our current and potential customers, loan file management, processing customer transactions, auditing, and providing prompt, courteous and efficient customer service within established guidelines.
Customer Service Representative Accountabilities
- Assisting the operations staff with daily duties and projects
- Complete documentation for new account opening (checking, savings, CD’s, Safe Deposit Boxes)
- Displays knowledge and proficiency in the bank’s products and services and builds long-term customer relationships
- Open all types of new accounts including savings, checking, money market, IRA and certificates of deposit.
- Handle customer account transactions which may include verifying incoming cash, accurately dispersing cash, accepting various deposits and payments, completing cash advances and cashing checks
- Auditing of new account documents
- Cross-sell bank services.
- Provides quality customer service when answering inquiries and resolving customer concerns in person, via phone, or via e-mail
- Prepare follow up letters and thank you cards for new accounts.
- Assist customers with account problems, such as reconcilement or research.
- Verifying account balances, giving out account information to customer, and printing copies of items and/or statements from customer accounts
- Selling of Cashier’s Checks, Personal Money Orders, and Gift Cards to customers as requested
- Responsible for complying with established balancing standards and cash drawer levels
- Other duties as determined
- Maintain complete confidentiality with regard to sensitive information and bank relationships
- Comply with the CenBank Bank Secrecy Policy and all Bank Secrecy Regulations
Customer Service Representative Expectations
- Performs job accountabilities with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
- Develops and maintains knowledge of compliance and internal control requirements necessary to complete the job
- Performs duties in compliance with policy, procedure and process
- Provides open communication to supervisor concerning training needs, equipment problems, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
