Location
- This position travels throughout the Philipsburg area and will be housed at the CenClear Preschool in Philipsburg, PA. Compensation for time and mileage occurs based on the reimbursement policy.
- Hourly rate $14.78
- Work 40 hours per week, for 40 weeks a year
- Assist families in their home with goal planning and completion of program-required paperwork
- Provide monthly contacts to families via home visits, phone calls, and emails
- Identify family needs and resources, and assist in setting and working on goals
- Foster strong communication between families and teachers
- Promote family self-sufficiency and participation in parent meetings and activities.
- Support parents in their role as their child’s first teacher, offering guidance and practical suggestions.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and comply with all required documentation standards.
- Attend trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Willingness to complete Family Service Worker credentialing within 18 months of hire
- Experience working with both children and adults.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Head Start regulations preferred.
- Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate
