Senior HR Generalist
Job Type: Contract (6 Months)
Location: Irwindale, California, United States (Remote flexibility)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who can manage a wide range of responsibilities across employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of human resources experience and a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate HR policies and programs
- Update and maintain job descriptions and job classifications
- Manage full-cycle recruitment including screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Conduct employee orientations and organize training programs
- Oversee compensation structure and conduct pay evaluations
- Provide guidance to managers on coaching, discipline, and performance management
- Handle employee relations and support conflict resolution
- Administer and educate employees on benefits programs
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation
- Conduct investigations and represent the company in hearings if necessary
- Monitor HR metrics and report on key workforce data
- Participate in ongoing professional development and industry research
Qualifications:
- 10 years of progressive experience in human resources
- Deep understanding of employment law, compliance, and HR operations
- Proven experience in recruiting, benefits administration, and performance management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $35.14 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
