Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team! This role will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting and will play a key part in supporting our Finance Team by handling full-cycle accounting responsibilities, including Billing, Accounts Payable, and Payroll. Collaborating closely with the Senior Manager of Accounting and the Staff Accountant, you will help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records and processes.
What you’ll do
- Nurture a positive and collaborative working relationship within the finance team
- Become familiar with accounting and internal control processes
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Collaborate with Billing Specialist to process customer billing in Maxio
- Maintain Cash Sheet on a weekly basis
- Approve sales tax returns in Avalara and monitor sales tax requirements
- Process semi-monthly payroll for US and International entities through Rippling
- Process off-cycle and termination payrolls
- Work with Rippling to stay compliant with state and local tax requirements
- Process accrual entries for month-end
- Perform P&L review for coding, class, and location accuracy
- Review P&L results to ensure accuracy and provide input for any variances
- Assist with Financial Statement preparation and variance analysis
- Assist with annual audits and with special projects as needed
What you'll bring
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent experience
- 3 years of Accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- SaaS revenue recognition ASC606
- Sales tax experience
- Proficient in QBO, Maxio (SaasOptics), or other accounting software

- Experience in accounting with a fast-growing startup
- Experience using NetSuite
- Experience with FloQast
- Proficient in Rippling, Ramp and TravelPerk
Our target salary range for this role is between $100,000 USD and $130,000 USD bonus eligibility and equity.

Our roots are in Ann Arbor, Michigan with location hubs in Seattle, the Bay Area, and Washington D.C. Our innovation is fueled by the team’s global perspectives. For this role, we are looking for candidates based in one of our four hub locations: Seattle, WA, Los Altos, CA, Tysons, VA, or Ann Arbor, MI and will be required to go into one of the offices on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third day of choice.
