Centaris has over 40 years’ experience helping small to mid-sized businesses with their computer technology needs. We provide a full suite of Security First computer technology managed IT services, including products like Microsoft Office 365 and Teams, as well as computer systems sales and service, structured cabling, varied voice/phone solutions, telephony, cloud VoIP solutions and internet/voice carrier services.
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Systems Administrator to join our growing team!
The Cybersecurity Systems Administrator is responsible for active ticket monitoring, remediation, and recommendations of the proper security posture to Centaris’ clients. You will ensure networks are secure, protect against unauthorized access, modifications, destruction, and troubleshoot any access problems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain security infrastructure
- Configure and monitor security tools
- Respond to and troubleshoot security alerts
- Identify end of life hardware, root cause and make security/project recommendations to resolve issues
- Resolve misconfiguration issues, identify the root cause, and escalate to appropriate team to correct
- Ability to assess business risks and effectively communicate their impact to stakeholders and clients.
- Translate technical security concerns into clear business value propositions.
- Build strong client relationships and promote a security-first culture.
Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems (or related degree/equivalent combination of work experience) is required.
- 1 years’ Cybersecurity experience with an emphasis on the NIST cybersecurity framework.
- Compliance experience is a plus.
- 2 years’ administrative support experience with Windows Server Active Directory and Group Policy configuration
- 2 years’ experience in installation, configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls. (Certification preferred)
- 2 years’ experience with VMWare, Hyper-V, and other server virtualization technologies preferred.
- 2 years’ experience with Backup/Recovery and High Availability systems and technologies preferred.
- 2 years’ experience with MS PowerShell automation and script development preferred.
This position is primarily remote; however, candidates must be able to commute to our Sterling Heights office as needed.
