Job Summary:
The Water Park Attendant is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the water park, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for guests, and maintaining the cleanliness of the park. This position includes monitoring attractions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring that guests comply with safety rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Assistance:
- Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner as they enter the park.
- Provide information about park attractions, rules, and schedules to guests.
- Assist guests with locating amenities such as restrooms, restaurants, and seating areas.
- Help guests with any questions or concerns, ensuring a positive experience at the park.
- Safety and Supervision:
- Monitor water attractions, ensuring all guests are following safety rules.
- Assist in identifying potential safety hazards and prevent accidents.
- Ensure guests are wearing appropriate swimwear and safety equipment (e.g., life vests) when required.
- Watch for unsafe behavior, and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe environment.
- Park Cleanliness:
- Regularly inspect and clean park areas, including water slides, pools, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Ensure that trash is picked up, and public areas are kept tidy and hygienic.
- Help in maintaining pool cleanliness by checking for debris and ensuring proper filtration.
- Assist with maintaining the appearance of the park, including cleaning lounges, umbrellas, and tables.
- Operational Duties:
- Assist with the opening and closing procedures of the park, including setting up attractions and cleaning.
- Monitor and maintain equipment such as slides, splash pads, and pool areas to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Report any issues with equipment or park facilities to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, complaints, or concerns in a professional manner.
- Assist guests with directions, park rules, and any other needs that may arise.
- Ensure that guests are following all safety regulations and ensure their overall satisfaction during their visit.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with fellow attendants and other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in training and team meetings to stay updated on policies, safety standards, and new procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in busy or stressful situations.
- Knowledge of basic safety and first aid practices.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform tasks in an outdoor, active environment.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in outdoor, often hot or rainy weather.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
