Job description
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 5am to 1:30pm

Centennial Diagnostics is a locally owned, CLIA-certified lab that performs a full range of clinical lab tests including hematology, chemistry, immunoassay, molecular PCR, urinalysis, rapid diagnostics. We aim to provide personalized, top-notch customer service for each and every patient.
We are looking for a qualified MLS or MLT to work independently and as a team player in our CORE clinical lab. You will be handling sensitive equipment and performing detail-oriented work to analyze patient samples. The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical lab utilizing best lab practices for Core testing, to include hematology, chemistry and urinalysis. He/She will be well-trained to produce accurate lab results, maintain safety conditions and will be passionate about doing work that positively impacts patient lives. The goal is to work efficiently and succeed in producing accurate, reliable results that can be used to make a difference in patient’s lives.
Required: Must have MLS or MLT certification through ASCP
Responsibilities:
- Receive and prepare specimens to analyze
- Perform laboratory testing according to standard operating procedures
- Record all data and report results electronically with accuracy and responsibility
- Perform quality control and participate in proficiency testing
- Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment
Skills:
- Proven experience as a CORE Lab Technician or relevant position
- Experience in operating hematology analyzers to include performing CBC differentials
- Experience in UA w/ microscopic analysis when indicated.
- Experience in operating chemistry analyzers
- Excellent physical condition and endurance
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and LIS systems
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Bachelor of Science degree in biology, chemistry or relevant science field preferred.
