We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist with patient intake by gathering medical history and vital signs.
- Conduct preliminary eye exams, including visual acuity tests and tonometry.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and the use of prescribed medications or treatments.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists to ensure smooth patient flow during examinations.
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Demonstrate knowledge of physiology to assist in understanding patient conditions.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, particularly in ophthalmology or optometry.
- A background in vital signs measurement and understanding of basic physiology is essential.
