The Center for AI Safety (CAIS) is a leading research and advocacy organization on a mission to reduce societal-scale risks from AI. We tackle the toughest AI issues with a mix of technical, societal, and policy solutions, working with our sister organization, the CAIS Action Fund.
As part of our mission, we are building a network of skilled contributing writers to support our growing content needs. We are looking for both technical writers and journalists / general writers who can help communicate AI safety research, policy developments, and industry trends to a broad audience.
Technical Writing Opportunities :
- Authoring research papers on AI safety
- Writing and curating the ML Safety Newsletter
Journalist & General Writing Opportunities :

This is a contract-based role with an hourly rate of $30-$50, depending on expertise, project complexity, and level of commitment. Compensation may vary based on factors such as subject matter expertise, writing experience, and the scope of individual projects.
We are actively building a pool of contributing writers and encourage applicants with expertise in technical AI research, policy analysis, or science communication to apply. Writers may be engaged on a per-project basis, depending on expertise and content needs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
