What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse-Greenwood St. Campus position at Center for Applied Behavioral Instruction?
- Support the goals set by the School Nurse Leader.
- Promote students' physical and emotional health.
- Regularly assess students' health needs.
- Provide first aid and emergency care as per "First Aid-Standing Orders."
- Notify parents of student illness or accidents and complete incident forms.
- Ensure safety within the school and outdoors.
- Teach and reinforce Universal Precautions to staff and students.
- Maintain a list of students’ medical needs and share with relevant personnel.
- Keep a daily log of health room visits.
- Administer medication and prescribed treatments.
- Perform medical procedures like catheterization and g-tube access as needed.
- Inform staff about students' medical issues.
- Collaborate with staff, administration, and medical professionals to address student health needs.
- Serve as a health resource and provide community referrals.
- Maintain the Nurse’s Office and equipment.
- Counsel students and supervise treatments of individuals with specific health needs (i.e. child neglect and abuse, drug use and abuse).
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
